The competition was to take a ‘now’ picture of the wall from a similar viewpoint to which Gibson had used to create one of his photographs over 120 years ago. There were five views to choose from.
Hexham Photographic Society members Gerry Stephens and Duncan Burridge won two of the five possible prizes, which are a framed copy of our winning “Now” photograph alongside the “Then” Gibson photograph. Duncan received both his and Gerry’s prizes on the 25th April from Kate St Clair Gibson, Local Studies Librarian, at Hexham Library.
