It’s hard to believe it's already six weeks since Sycamore Gap was felled in an appalling act of vandalism. The iconic view of the lone tree had become a symbol for the North East of England, having featured as a location in TV and Film productions such a Vera and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. This made it a must-visit location, not just for the floods of tourists who would stop for a snapshot or selfie at the “Robin Hood Tree”, but also for more dedicated photographers who would visit at all hours and in all weather conditions to capture the beauty of the location in the best light.
